Thought I would do an update on my progress. It is a month since I started this and some things have been started, some haven't, some are about to start as the new month is about to start. So, here is a rundown.

31. Make a photo journal for both photos I take and photos I like. Done. Click here!

Ok, it looks like this is the only one I have actually completed since starting. Well, this and no 17 which is fairly obvious :D

There are many that have been started ...

2. Get a job as a Newly Qualified Teacher. The job hunting has started. This is quite scary. I'm waiting to hear from the Sheffield Pool now. Eeeek!

4. Keep a record (photographic or photocopied work) of each lesson I taught that went well throughout my PGCE and NQT year to make into a portfolio. Have been doing this so shall continue with it.

65. Finish my crochet blanket that I started about 3 years ago. My blanket has been picked up again for the first time in months, if not years.

Tomorrow is the first of the month. There are a few targets that I want to start. These are:

33. Take and publish to the web at least one photo a day for 3 months.
37. Make a list of 100 things that make me happy.
50. Drink at least 4 pints of water a day for at least a month.

Any more than those will be a bonus :)

101 Things in 1001 Days

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
