Elizabeth Barrett Browning

This year is the bicentennial year of Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s birth [guardian.co.uk]. Her Sonnets from the Portugese are some of the best poems I have ever read. They are just beautiful. Everyone should read them at some point in their life. It is just a shame that she is quite often eclipsed by Shakespeare and even her own husband, Robert Browning.
