Winter Olympics

Well, the Winter Olympics in Turin are over [sport.bbc.co.uk]. GB only got one medal – a silver in the Women’s Skeleton for Shelley Rudman. It was a fairly uneventful Olympic Games. There weren’t many (if any?) scandals and they just seemed to happen. The low point, for GB I suppose, is that the Women’s Curling failed to even get a medal, let alone retain their Gold. My high point was the Women’s Snowboarding Cross. The stupid woman was showboating and therefore lost out on a Gold medal. She was convinced she had the gold, did a trick and fell flat on her face. The person who was a million miles behind her in second place snitched the gold from the American. It was funny. Silly girl
So yes, they are done for another 4 years. The next big sporting event, I suppose, is the World Cup in Germany.
