Fetching

This weekend I have been knitting the Fetching [knitty.com] fingerless gloves. I have only made one of the pair so far, but as I was so pleased with it, I decided to take photographs ![]()
It has been knitted with the same Sidar Aran with 20% Wool yarn that I used for the calorimetry and I used 4mm dpns. I am extremely pleased with the results.
And a close up of the detail …
I was originally going to make these into mittens but I decided that as I am still a fairly novice knitter that I would just carry on with the pattern and keep them fingerless. If I want mittens, then I have a nice little pattern in the SnB book that I can use. Also, I wasn’t confident enough to make them mittens. Maybe a few more patterns down the line.
In this one, the thumb was the hardest bit, but I think I did a good job on it.
Extremely pleased
