A ‘No Photo’ Entry

No photos today as I am feeling so tired. I just don’t have the energy to find the camera, take photos, upload resize etc etc. I was so tired that I nearly fell asleep in class. One child caught me and shouted across the class “Miss, you’re falling asleep!” I decided to drink extremely strong coffee at lunchtime to overcome this. Whoops.
Anyway, onto the knitting. This week I have been knitting a rather large sock. I finished sock one of the Jitterbug yarn, simple stockinette stitch socks that I am making. They are rather large socks as they are for someone that has big feet. And you know what they say about someone with big feet – they have big socks! As such, I will run out of the Jitterbug, so I have just ordered another skein from Get Knitted [getknitted.com]. I have to admit, I was rather restrained while browsing their online shop. There was so much I could’ve got, but I was good 
All I purchased was the said Jitterbug and a 100cm lace circular needle for the faceted gems wrap that I shall redo. So yes, very restrained.
I have also discovered a wonderful, new website. It is a knitting/crochet networking / organisation community called Ravelry [ravelry.com]. It is still in beta stage so it only invite only. I registered for an invite ages ago and simply forgot about it until I received an invite last weekend. I have to admit, it was perfect timing as David was away so I could play til my heart was content. On arriving back, and informing him about my escapades on Ravelry, he pronounced me a geek 
But it’s fun. It is linked with flickr, which is annoying as I would rather host my own photos. However, in good faith, I have registered with flickr until such a time they offer this facility.
So there you go. Mammoth entry telling you that I finished a sock and I found a new website. I can talk a lot – just ask my mum
