Just a little note …
For some reason, only some of my comments are being emailed to me. This is quite annoying. I don’t want to allow you to just post without needing approval as I am getting an awful lot of spam comments that I, obviously, don’t want to fill my site with. Don’t know what to do, just need to keep checking in, I suppose ![]()
In other knitting news, I have not actually done any knitting today. Instead, I have been updating my Ravelry stuff [ravelry.com]. Here are my thoughts so far …
- It is fairly easy to use, once you have gotten the hang of it.
- It is difficult to use if you have questions. Unless you go through the forum, there is no ‘troubleshooting’ section, for example.
- You could spend hours on there – the amount of stuff on there is vast. And it is still only in beta.
- I don’t like having to rely on flickr. I would much rather host my own photos.
- I find it difficult to just randomly search for friends.
All in all, tis good. I have been organising photos all evening. All photos you have seen, like. So don’t think you are missing out :p
I found you.
I really like Ravelry, but the more I use it, the more I can think to improve it. It’s all still in beta, hence the lack of help files and some things that don’t work well. But almost every time I log in, I see improvements.
Yes, constantly things are updating and stuff. And I know it’s still in beta but I get impatient :p
I do love it though
I can’t wait to get on to Ravelry, I am so curious to see what it’s like. I think that, like most tools, it’s always going to have its drawbacks. But it sounds very interesting.
I made myself hold off really exploring till this weekend, and now, of course, my weekend is JAMMED with stuff I HAVE to do. Grrrrrr. Good thing is the man is away next week for work, so Iw ill have a bunch of “ME” time once I get home from work each day
