Various Shenanigans
Posted By Laura on July 30, 2007
Yesterday, we got back from a flying visit to Kyle of Lochalsh [undiscoveredscotland.co.uk]. This is where I am from. We drove the 400 miles for my dad’s birthday celebrations. He was 60 this year
We went to the Kyle Hotel and had a gorgeous meal there. It was really yummy. We *all* cleared our plates. Not often that happens ![]()
Whilst in Kyle, I took the opportunity to visit Broadford, where they have this absolutely *wonderful* independent yarn store. They spin and dye all their own yarn and it is absolutely delicious. Their handspun silk was just beautiful. However, at £13 per hank, and no project in mind, it was quite expensive
But it is a resource I know for future. Even though it is over 400 miles away :/
Today also marks a special day in the prettyinpurple household. Two years ago today, David and I did this:
That’s right, we got married. Today marks our 2 year anniversary. I can’t believe it has been 2 years already since we did it – it has just flown by. And has been a wonderful 2 years. Here’s to many more ![]()
And, as 2 years is traditionally the cotton anniversary, my darling husband has bought me lots of Patons 100% Cotton! Yaaaaaaay
Now I need to decide what to knit with it …
A VERY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Congratulations to you both and what a lovely part of Scotland to be visiting too -next time you go, let us know, and we’ll come with you! We’ve been there years ago, not the same hotel, but lovely just the same. Life is on a “go slow” there isn’t it? Just the way it should be!! Off now to look what my hubby can buy me for our 10th – gold, silver, no, that’s much later on…..
Happy Anniversary!
