Finishing Off

Posted By on March 29, 2008

Since finishing off Elijah Bertie, I have mostly been finishing off my Babetter Blankie. I shan’t show any pictures until it is fully finished, but suffice to say, I am really pleased with it. It is such a warm, big blankie. It weighs over 1kg too :o
I have been thinking about my next few projects. I have 2 socks to do and then I would like to try some socks with an afterthought heel. I think this would be quite a different thing to do and I want to try it out. I normally do socks with a heel flap and gusset but my least favourite part of the heel is the gusset. I *could* just do a short row heel, but where is the fun in that?! Ha! I never to things by halves, me. I always try and do things the hard way. That’s just me.
In other news, I think we are going to be taking part in Earth Hour tonight at 8pm.
And the clocks change tonight too. British Summer Time starts. I wish that summer would start too, though. So yes, we lose an hour in bed tonight, the clocks go forward. Hrmph :|

You may find that heel is easier than you think it will be although I find it hard to work out where to put it without cheating and measuring it against another sock with a short row heel.
