Happy New Year

Yes, rather belated, I know. But, better late than never, non?
Well, what has been happening? I got a new laptop in October-ish time. My other one was being rather silly and stopped working on me. Which was rather irritating. I have been taking my time getting used to Vista (still not convinced, mind) and smartFTP was irritating so now my lovely husband has downloaded something else to share my photos. Yay!
Another reason for the lack of entries is the lack of knitting. I made a little hat, which has been keeping my head warm in this wintery weather, but that is it. My knitting mojo has been non existant. There is a reason for that, though, in that I am now 15 weeks pregnant. I found it rather difficult to focus on something small for ages. Which has been rather naff. I am still knitting liesl, although, when I say knitting, it is sat in the room upstairs eyeing me up every time I go to the toilet (which has become a ridiculous number per day!) and making me feel rather guilty for not finishing her off. Poor, neglected liesl. I shall finish her. It’s just faffy at the moment.
It’s terrible, because I have not even been knitting for baby. David was fantastic as he purchased me the lovely stitchionary series by Vogue (all 4 books!) and some yummy alpaca to make something for baby. But the mojo hasn’t been there.
In other news, we have had some rather wintery weather. We had 2 snow days last week, which is rare. But also rather nice. By snow days, I do mean that we were sent home, rather than not going in at all. It was rather strange. And I have to admit, I Did Not Like driving to work.
We had about 4/5 inches, which is more than I remember in recent years. The birdies didn’t like it very much though. In fairness, I don’t think that I would like to live out in this.
I am also on the scrounge. Haha, i’m back for 2 minutes and am looking for something. I plan on making the sock blanket by Shelly Kang. I think it would be something that would keep me occupied and would be quite funky for baby instead of some of the other blankies that I could make. And it looks ace too. So, if anyone has any 4ply / sock yarn scraps that you don’t need, I would be extremely grateful. Like, *really* grateful
Hey – congratulations on your news
I’m sure your knitting mojo will return in time.
WOW!!!!!! Congratulations! Hope you get your mojo back soon.
