Snow Day
Posted By Laura on January 5, 2010
Well, this morning I woke up to no snow. I was hugely disappointed, especially when other people were bragging about how much they got. At half 8 it started. And then at half 10 we had about 4 inches. It literally happened that quickly. So, of course, it was an excuse to get the camera out and have a play about. Not that I needed that much of an excuse, of course.
I decided to take a walk to the shop for some much covetted milk when I took these. We are lucky as round the corner we have some fields lined with trees, that looked really spectacular in the snow.
It was really deep and did make for a soft landing when I fell on my bum. Whoops. Just as I left the house. In time for husband to watch me. He picked that moment to have a look at the snow out the window. Ah well. It could’ve been worse. He could’ve been filming me at that moment!
The shrubbery round the corner looked rather pretty today too. I do like a bit of colour amongst the white. It looks rather pretty.
And, finally … my favourite photo from the snow filled trip:
I have to admit, as much as I really do love the snow I was rather pleased to get home and have a cuppa. Alas, the shop didn’t have the much covetted milk, so it looks like we are going to run out. Booooo
None of these are todays photo, mind. That will come later. It’s not actually a photo I took today, but it is rather apt.

It’s as if someone has sprayed everything with foam!
