I heart Ysolda

Well, the ravelympics are nearly over and I have done fairly well. The blankie of doom will not be finished, sadly, but have taken a different WIP out of the cobwebbed closet to see if I can finish it before the end of the Winter Olympics. The deadline is sometime early Monday morning but I’ve set my own deadline of midnight Sunday. We’ll see what happens. I will show off my accomplishments later on in the week.
It’s not often I link to something in the news, but The Times Online has an article onYsolda Teague. Ysolda is showing how knitting has come back into fashion. She makes a good living from it, which in itself is inspiring. I love her designs and have made many of them, including 2 Elijahs and a Liesl. I own both her books and have many more of her patterns queued. Well done Ysolda – you turned a dream into a reality. And I can’t wait to see your dress.
Thanks for posting the link to this article, I had not seen it. Ysolda is the fabulous, and I never knew her background story, which just adds to the fabulousness.
I love Ysolda’s designs too – and the amount she raised for Doctors without borders is staggering.
