Blanket Musings …

I have been thinking through my current blankie situation. I have my mahoosive granny stripe blanket on the go and a summer garden blanket. Now, the summer garden was going to be a double sized blanket but I have decided against that now. Well, the granny stripe is going to be bigger than king sized so I have decided that the my summer garden blankie will be a Niamhy blankie. She’s going to need proper bedding soon so I will make it for her bed. Which means, I have enough squares made
So now I need to go round them once more so that I can join them and then add a border. How exciting.
It’s going to be a nice, cosy, woolly blankie for her. I do love it.
Oh, and I have completed 81 stripes on my granny stripe. Score
wow, 81 that’s loads! Do you think you might need another pack of the yarn to make a king sized blanket? hurrah for more yarn!
I bed Niamhy will love her summer garden blanket – I can’t believe she’s nearly ready for a proper bed. It seems like yesterday that you took a test and it was positive
I have already cracked into a second pack of yarn. I want to get to about 100 stripes to square it off before I add the border.
As for Niamhy, she is not quite ready for a proper bed but she is ready for proper bedding. She’s too big for the grobags that we’ve been using since birth. This saddens me as you’re right – she’s growing so quickly. She’s a proper little person now rather than a baby. And she causes some mischief! x
